APCCI Launches Revitalized Leadership, Signs Historic MOU with CHAMFA at Castlereagh Hotel Gala
APCCI unveiled its 2026 leadership in Sydney and signed a landmark MOU with CHAMFA to boost trade, investment, and business ties.
Sydney, Australia — The Australia Philippine Chamber of Commerce Inc. (APCCI) recently held an exceptionally well-attended business event at the historic Castlereagh Hotel in Sydney’s CBD, unveiling its 2026 leadership, welcoming new members, and signing a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the China-Australia Free Free Trade Association (CHAMFA).
The three-part program began with the induction of new members and the appointment of committee heads and Ambassadors of Goodwill. Participation certificates were presented by Hon. Consul Marianne I. Bringas of the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney, assisted by APCCI President Jun Capili, Dr. Jaime Lopez, and Past President Joel Tungcab, who served as event host.
The evening’s formal dinner preceded a Trade and Tourism Forum headlined by Guest Speaker the Hon. Senator Dave Sharma, Australian Federal Shadow Minister for Immigration. Introduced by Atty. Tom Baena, Senator Sharma presided over the induction of APCCI’s incoming 2026 officers:

In the event’s flagship moment, APCCI President Jun Capili and CHAMFA Chairperson Sophy Liu signed an MOU to strengthen trade, investment, and people-to-people ties among Australia, the Philippines, and China.
