Tagaytay City - At the 49th Top-Level Management Conference (TLMC) of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP), Mr. Butch Canoy, a prominent executive of Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) and top KBP executive, shared insightful words with KBP Calabarzon Chairman Roy Bato.
RMN Networks, a leading radio network in the Philippines, traces its roots to the establishment of its first station, DXCC, in Cagayan de Oro on August 28, 1952. The callsign initially represented the radio partnership of Canoy and Cui, later transformed to a neutral reference – Cagayan de Oro Community.
Noteworthy in Philippine radio history, RMN pioneered national newscasts via microwave in 1968. The Tri-Media News Central in Manila facilitated swift, direct, and crystal-clear network newscasts across the nation through stations like DZHP, DZHB, DYHB, DYHP, DXVM, DXIC, and DXDC.
