Big Convention Center Rises in Manila Bay, Set to Boost Philippines’ Global Events Capacity
The proposed Philippine International Exhibition Center (PIEC) is set to rise in Manila Bay as a major convention and exhibition complex designed to strengthen the Philippines’ capacity to host international events. Located within the Pasay Harbor City development, the project is expected to support the country’s MICE industry, tourism, investment, and job creation.
A major new landmark is set to rise in Manila Bay as the proposed Philippine International Exhibition Center (PIEC) moves forward, positioning the Philippines to accommodate larger international conventions, exhibitions, trade shows and major global events.
Envisioned as a world-class convention and exhibition complex within the Pasay Harbor City development, the project is expected to significantly expand the country’s capacity for the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) industry while supporting tourism, investment and job creation.
The project was recently highlighted during a Senate budget hearing, where Philippine Reclamation Authority officials presented details of the development and its potential contribution to the country’s growing events and tourism sector.
